Pack Your SUV Based on Load Capacity Rather Than the Amount of Cargo

When you own an SUV, there are so many advantages for packing to go on an extended trip, a one-day excursion, or even as a helpful resource when moving from one location to another.

Although you’re able to fit all of the items into your SUV, that does not mean it meets the load capacity by the manufacturer’s standard. Instead of assuming that the load capacity meets the maximum level, refer to your manufacturer's specifications and the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Be sure to take into consideration how many passengers will be in your vehicle. You will need to add those weights to the estimated weight that you plan to transport. Additionally, keep in mind the amount of fuel that is in your tank to determine if you still meet the GVWR.
