Simple Yet Effective Guide to Change a Flat Tire

Keep this tire changing guide in mind the next time you wind up stranded with a flat tire.

The first thing to consider is where the vehicle is stuck. Never leave the car in the roadway, ride that rim if needed a few feet to get out of the way of traffic and where you can work safely for a few minutes.

Use the tire iron to loosen the lugs on your car's flat tire, then you can jack the vehicle up to where the tire is off the ground.

Once the tire leaves the road surface, take off the lug nuts and put them aside. Pull off the flat tire, then replace with the spare. Replace the lug nuts and tighten until the tire is snug, but don't tighten all the way. Once the car is lowered, tighten the lugs all the way.

Keep up with tire inspection appointments with Hendrick Honda Hickory so we can spot issues before they cause other tire failures.
